Since 2013, Happiness Boutique has been working with the non-profit organization Kiva to lend loans to people in need. The loans that we lend are multi- purpose and are all made with the core idea of lending a helping hand to the 1.7 million people in the world who don’t have sufficient access to financial resources.

Over the past six years, we are proud to say that Happiness Boutique alone has lent a total of 57 loans to people in 38 different countries, helping a wide variety of dreams come true.

The loans that we have lent have helped farmers from Peru to buy seeds and fertilizers (https://www.kiva.org/lend/1623640); helped female entrepreneurs in Ghana to buy more stock for clothing stores to grow their businesses (https://www.kiva.org/lend/1428520); helped low income families in Vietnam to pay for their children's tuition fees (https://www.kiva.org/lend/1438215); helped a 21 year old year from the West Bank to study English translation at university (https://www.kiva.org/lend/1438492); helped a businessman in Madagascar to invest in raw materials to expand his brick making business (https://www.kiva.org/lend/1648901); and helped the company Vitalite Zambia to sell pay-as-you-go solar home systems to households across Zambia (https://www.kiva.org/lend/1627145).

One of Kiva’s mottos is “Lifting one, to lift many”, and is something that we believe is also in line with Happiness Boutique’s own values: of creating lasting joy and carrying out small acts of kindness where, and when you can. We love supporting Kiva and think it is the right kind of change we need in the world.
